Vaccination Services Provided by Assistant Port Health Office of Quarantine Unit at Medical Research Institute (MRI)

Assistant Port Health Office is situated at Medical Research Institute, Dr. Danister De Silva Mawatha (Baseline road), Colombo 08, Sri Lanka.

Vaccines Provided by Assistant Port Health Office

  • Yellow Fever Vaccine
  • Mennincocal Vaccine
  • Oral Polio Vaccine
  • Above vaccines are provided by the Assistant Port Health Office on Weekdays (Monday -Friday) from 9.00 am to 3.30 pm.
  • Vaccination is not given during Public Holidays and Weekend.
  • Oral polio vaccination is admnistered free of charge. Yellow fever and Menincoccal Vaccination are administered upon payment of a vaccination fee.
  • No pre-reservation of time slots is required to receive above vaccination.
  • You are requested to bring your passport (or a copy of the details page of the passport) for issual of the vaccination.
  • First you have to go to the Assistant Port Health Office, Colombo-08 . Then, you will be instructed on the bank payment to be made (with details of the bank account) and other documents to be filled when receiving vaccination.
  • The payment should be made to the Bank of Ceylon account from a bank counter on the same day and the verified bank slip should be handed over to the Assistant Port Health Office, Colombo-08 with the completed documents and the Passport/Copy of the Passport.
  • The bank payments cannot be made online or through the ATM portals of the Bank.
  • Vaccination will be conducted at the Assistant Port Health Office, Colombo-08 .
  • Following administration of vaccination, you will be requested to remain at the premises for approximately 20 minutes duration for monitoring of any adverse reaction following vaccination. This duration could be prolonged depending on medical advice of the medical officer at assistant port health office.
  • Your Vaccination Certificate will be issued at the end of the process along with your passport/passport copy.
